Annual benefit for the Rob Shipman Memorial Fund, featuring student, staff, alumni and retiree performers. Headlining our 2015 concert are professional musicians Mikey Sweet ('04) and Kenny Lynch (a former student who actually graduated from PVPA). Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens.
Rob Shipman taught social studies at Gateway for most of his teaching career. He also led the Tech Crew, training and organizing students to run the sound, lighting and stage in the Gateway Performing Arts Center (GPAC). Rob also had a hand in designing the technical aspects of the GPAC. His memorial fund has purchased a movable spotlight, upgraded the sound system to run from an iPad (from anywhere in the auditorium), and acquired a number of sets of wireless lapel microphones.
